Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to help website owners understand how their site is being used.

How we use cookies

This website is operated by Manchester Renewables Ltd. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use two categories:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These don't require consent.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) so we can see how many people visit the site, which pages are popular, and how visitors find us. This helps us improve the site. These are only set after you accept.

Your consent and Google Consent Mode

When you first visit the site, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. We show a banner asking whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential is stored on your device until you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect that choice.

The analytics cookies we use

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. These are used to distinguish anonymous visitors and measure how the site is used. We do not use them to identify you personally, and we do not sell your data. Google processes this data as a data processor on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy.

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings (which removes your saved choice and brings the banner back), or by blocking or deleting cookies through your browser's privacy settings. Most browsers also let you refuse all cookies entirely.

More information

For how we handle the personal data you submit through our contact form, see our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us on 07538 885286.
